The Rossnaree Story
Our story begins amidst the rolling green hills of Ireland, where our founder, Ursula Blackburne, first discovered her lifelong passion for travel. Surrounded by the timeless beauty and rich heritage of the Emerald Isle, she developed an early appreciation for exploration and the wonder that comes from stepping beyond the familiar and immersing oneself in new experiences.
That spark of curiosity soon became a calling. As Ursula lived and worked across England, Spain, Southeast Asia, and Australia, she gained an intimate understanding of cultures, people, and the art of meaningful connection. Each chapter abroad deepened her belief that travel has the power to transform, to inspire, and to create memories that linger long after the journey ends.
Her professional path began with a prestigious travel agency in England, where she mastered the intricacies of bespoke itinerary design and the art of exceptional service. There, she learned that true travel planning goes far beyond logistics; it’s about understanding people and curating experiences that speak to the heart.
Eager to broaden her horizons, Ursula brought her expertise to the United States, where she flourished in the North American travel industry. Over the years, she built trusted relationships, earned the confidence of discerning travelers, and refined her vision for a new kind of travel experience rooted in authenticity, care, and connection.
After more than three decades of global experience, that vision became reality. Rossnaree Travel was born, its name inspired by a small Irish village meaning “wood of kings,” and its mission guided by Ursula’s Irish roots and global perspective.
